Grace and peace be multiplied to you, dear brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has counted us worthy to see yet another day for His divine purpose.
With thanksgiving we write, that you may be strengthened in faith and share this word with others, as together we await the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ (Titus 2:13).
Beloved, let us not forget that the same God who said through Isaiah, “I am the First and the Last” (Isaiah 44:6), declared again through John on the island of Patmos, “Fear not; I am the First and the Last, the Living One. I was dead, and behold I am alive forevermore” (Revelation 1:17–18). He who is immortal and invisible humbled Himself, taking the form of a servant, even to the point of death on a cross (Philippians 2:6–8). By His death, He satisfied the perfect justice of God and by His resurrection He secured for us the hope of eternal life. This is the gospel we received, by which we stand, and in which we rejoice.
Therefore, brethren, I urge you with all sincerity: guard yourselves from every false teaching. For there are many who distort the gospel for selfish gain. In particular, beware of the doctrine of men that exalts three gods, for the Scripture declares plainly: “The Lord our God, the Lord is One” (Deuteronomy 6:4). God is Spirit (John 4:24), and in His great mercy He took on flesh to redeem us. Do not be led astray by lofty arguments or vain traditions, but hold fast to the simplicity that is in Christ.
Moreover, let love be without hypocrisy. Correct those who err, but do so with gentleness, remembering that knowledge without love puffs up, but love builds up (1 Corinthians 8:1). Encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, bear with one another in patience, for the Lord is coming to judge those who twist His word and to reward those who remain faithful.
And I appeal to you, brethren: do not let the walls of denomination divide you. For the Lord has only two people in the earth—those who obey Him, and those who do not. If you belong to Christ, then you are one Spirit with Him (1 Corinthians 6:17). Did not our Lord pray, saying, “That they may all be one, just as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You” (John 17:21)? Let no man boast in sects or titles, but let all glory be given to God alone.
Test every spirit, hold fast to what is good (1 Thessalonians 5:21), and comfort one another with these words. For the day is at hand when deception will abound, but those who love the truth will shine like lights in a dark world.
May the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; He will surely do it (1 Thessalonians 5:23–24).
Your brother in Christ,
T. Letjeba, with the counsel of the elders
