Revelation: Jesus Christ Is GOD

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has kept us alive for His purpose in this present hour (2 Peter 1:2). With deep gratitude we lift our voices to Him, for in His mercy He has chosen that we should remain as witnesses of His grace and heralds of His truth while we await His glorious appearing (Titus 2:13).

Dear Brethren,

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has kept us alive for His purpose in this present hour (2 Peter 1:2). With deep gratitude we lift our voices to Him, for in His mercy He has chosen that we should remain as witnesses of His grace and heralds of His truth while we await His glorious appearing (Titus 2:13).

Beloved, we encourage you to share this word of exhortation with other believers, so that none may grow weary but that all may be strengthened in the faith (Hebrews 10:24–25). Remember always that our God is One (Deuteronomy 6:4)—the very same who revealed Himself in the flesh in the first century as the Son, Jesus Christ our Lord (John 1:14). He did this in order to accomplish His eternal plan: to save us from His righteous wrath (Romans 5:9), for He will judge the world in righteousness (Acts 17:31). Through His death in our place, He satisfied His own perfect justice (Romans 3:25–26), and through His resurrection He gave us the free gift of salvation—if we believe in Him (Ephesians 2:8–9).

Did not the Lord speak through the prophet Isaiah saying, “I am the First and the Last” (Isaiah 44:6)? And did He not confirm the same through the Apostle John, when in the year 95 A.D. on the isle of Patmos He declared, “Fear not, I am the First and the Last” (Revelation 1:17)? Surely then it is true, dear saints: the eternal, immortal, invisible God humbled Himself to become like us in order to redeem us (1 Timothy 1:17; Philippians 2:6–8). Though hard for human wisdom to comprehend, this is the mystery of His love (Ephesians 3:18–19).

Therefore, brethren, be watchful. Hold fast to the truth that God is One (1 Corinthians 8:6). Beware of doctrines that would divide Him into three gods, a teaching established in later councils of men and not in the testimony of the apostles (Colossians 2:8). For God is Spirit—immortal and invisible (John 4:24; 1 Timothy 6:16)—and He took on flesh to bear our sins, to die, and to rise again (Hebrews 2:14). In this we have hope: though we die, yet in Christ we shall live (John 11:25).

Take heed also against deception, for many twist the Gospel for selfish gain (2 Corinthians 11:13–15). Their end is destruction unless they repent (Philippians 3:18–19). As for you, correct those who err in gentleness, with knowledge tempered by love (Galatians 6:1; 1 Corinthians 8:1). Do not use knowledge to destroy but to edify, and allow the Spirit to reveal truth in His appointed time (John 16:13). Walk humbly, knowing that those who lead others astray will face severe judgment (James 3:1).

Above all, beloved, love one another (John 13:34). Encourage one another daily (Hebrews 3:13), and do not allow the walls of denominations or fellowships to divide you—for in Christ they do not exist (Galatians 3:28; Ephesians 4:4–6). There are not many sects in the Lord, but only two ways: those who obey Him, and those who do not (1 John 2:3–4). You who obey belong to one Spirit, even as Jesus is one with the Father (John 17:21). Remember His prayer: that we may all be one, not in name, but in Spirit and in truth.

Therefore, test every spirit (1 John 4:1), hold fast to what is good (1 Thessalonians 5:21), and reject what is evil (Romans 12:9). For all that is good comes from our Lord (James 1:17). With these words, beloved, comfort and strengthen one another as you see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:25).

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit (Philippians 4:23).

Your brother in Christ,
